Purpose of role :
This role is designed to lead the transformation of our media and digital agenda to ensure our brand communications are world class and connecting & engaging with consumers;
reflecting the rapid changes in technology and consumer behaviour. This role is all the more important given the marketing restrictions existing in Venezuela.
The role will be leading all areas of the communication planning process across our iconic portfolio of brands, working hand in hand with brands teams to model the ecosystems, deliver breakthrough media plans and build partnerships to create stand out content
Top 3-5 Accountabilities :
Lead a transformation in our Brand Communication. Ensure our brands have Content, Social Media, Search, Mobile & PR marketing plans that both deliver the brands’ communications objectives and are recognized around the world and throughout Diageo as the best in class in terms of both Scale & Engagement
Lead a step change within effective and efficient use of media, expanding and managing our connections with media owners, content producers or distributors and technology providers (ex Google).
Improving the cost effectiveness and levels of engagement of us reaching our consumers, throughout the year
Responsible for delivery of best in class media strategy and plans, taking full responsibility for the quality of the plans, working collaboratively with the brand teams and members of the Global Digital Centre of Excellence
Gatekeeper of the media briefing and comms planning process, collaborating with CP team
Conceives and creates breakthrough thinking in media planning and partnerships, creating game changing ways of working
Be an agent of inspiration and capability. Develop and lead our media and digital capabilities that will ensure within two years the full potential of our Marketing Team is being unleashed and that our Marketing Talent is envied throughout Diageo.
Build a test and learn culture. Be a champion of Next Generation Marketing, ensuing the principles of reach, recency and impact are at the heart of our plans
Qualifications and responsibilities :
Minimum 8+ years business experience in Consumer Marketing industry / Services / Agencies, preferably doing work for companies like Nike, Coke, Red Bull ,etc.
Proven track record of success in delivering effective digitally led Marketing programs
Expert understanding of what drives consumer engagement, inter-action and appeal in the new media landscape
Strong understanding of all media connections and planning
Good understanding of the back end infrastructures’ of the media technology
Strong experience in leading idea generation, creative development and agency management
Successful people manager with proven experience in managing & developing people
