Feel inspired? Then this may be the opportunity for you. Regional Brand Manager Venezuelan Rums : Role Purpose Premium rum is expected to increase its share of dark spirits in all markets.

Category taste makers and analysts have been predicting premium and super premium rum to be the next big thing’ for the last few years.

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the growth agenda in one of the regions with the greatest size of opportunity in the rums category and develop a business model to position Cacique and Pampero across LAC through a sustainable RTC strategy that allows us to capitalize potential markets and boost current markets.

The successful individual will be responsible for leading the development of the Rums Marketing & Innovation strategy in LAC, capitalizing on new rums trends within the region and focusing on standard, premium and super premium segments due to the diversity of the category to participate in different consumption occasions.

Lead the development of marketing strategy for Cacique and Pampero brands in LAC, both in current and potential markets within the framework of the International Business agenda, ensuring the right positioning of both brands in the region in order to achieve the long term ambition.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the brilliant execution of the strategy working together with the commercial and marketing teams for the different markets and leading the planning process for the brand campaigns adapting physical and mental availability to the context.

Context / Scope The role must act in accordance with the general, global marketing and commercial guidelines established by the organization.

It must understand and adapt to the context of current and potential markets, constantly research for information related to the behaviors of the rum category, as well as trends in the region and macroeconomic insights of the markets, to give visibility to possible opportunities and challenges.

The position reports to Head of International Business and has no direct reports; however, the successful candidate will need to influence and lead market resources, as well as working closely with the distributor partner and GBT to deliver the rum strategy in LAC.

The position is managerial and close support to the leader of the area, under the guidelines of a transnational company.

The work environment is mainly performed remotely, with constant interaction with other Diageo and external markets. Diageo Venezuela operates in a volatile environment characterized by continuous changes in supply, finance, tax, and the market.

For this reason, it is imperative to keep up to date with each of these changes and measure their impact on the business and particularly on Cacique and Pampero rums, both in Venezuela and in the LAC markets.

The successful individual will influence and work with global brand teams to ensure the development of suitable growth drivers and assets for the purpose of the region and key markets.

High collaboration will be required with 3rd party distributors to leverage their expertise and knowledge, ensuring that Diageo brands receive the required focus to fulfill the projected ambition and align with the brand strategy.

The successful individual will need to coach and mentor local teams, both Marketing and Commercial, as well as our distributor partners.

The brand manager is characterized by being structured and planned, which serves as a guide to other areas and ensures the delivery of key information for timely decision making.

As well as generating alerts at the right time to understand the implications and take the necessary actions. It requires a solid knowledge of brands and innovation, as well as a clear understanding of the commercial strategy of the business.

It must work closely with the GBT and other teams related to the brand in order to develop campaigns aligned with the strategy of the brands and the market.

Main responsibilities Responsible for the co-creation of the brand campaign and commercial plans for each market, defining the positioning strategy according to the GBT guideline.

Direct work with the distributors to guarantee the correct execution of the brand campaign and trade activities (POS), as well as planning for the MBP and JUBP.

Co-responsible for identifying opportunities in the markets that allow optimizing the brands P&L with focus on GM. Responsible for the A&P and Trade Investment management process, working closely with finance to maintain control over it and interaction with third parties.

Manage the timeline of processes under the innovation parameters, managing the end to end of the brands introduction in the markets.

Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing or related field. Strong commercial acumen as well as creative experience.

At least 5 years of total experience in brand, innovation and / or customer marketing at management level, ideally gained within a transnational consumer goods environment.

Fluent in spoken and written English. Management of administrative cycle : Planning, Organization, Control and Direction.

Integral and systematic thinking. Broad business vision supported by Commercial and Financial analysis capacity. Evidence of building powerful relationships within and outside Diageo, developing customer collaboration and commitment at all stages of the value chain, negotiating for win-win outcomes, ability to work in a team and influence others.
