The Employee Experience Localization teams helps drive a frustration-free HR experience for Amazon’s global employees through a scalable localization strategy.
We support localization of internal, employment-related content and products that drive global employee self-service and optimize HR support.
We are a global team that supports Amazon employees and stakeholders around the world. The process improvements, automations, and system requirements that you define and implement in the localization process will have a direct impact on improving the team’s efficiency and scalability.
You will use your technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills to influence localization tool roadmaps and priorities.
Position may be based out of Arlington, VA, Dallas TX, or Boston, MA.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally with content management and translation management tech teams to support scalable localization workflows
Manage translation management systems and assets to optimize the localization workflow
Identify and drive automation solutions to optimize localization processes
Drive the integration of the content management and localization tools to streamline the localization workflow
Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with partner tech teams on driving tool fixes and enhancements.
Define user requirements and drive testing and implementation of new features.
Manage maintenance and optimization of Translation Memories (TM).
Evaluate quality of Machine Translation (MT) engines and manage customization requirements to drive the program's MT strategy
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience designing and building localization pipelines
Demonstrated experience in content / localization engineering
Strong technical knowledge of localization standards and technology (Translation Management Systems, CAT tools, translation QA tools)
Strong technical knowledge of translation workflows within content management systems
Hands-on experience with setting up and automating localization workflows
Experience managing Translation Memories and Term Bases (TMs and TBs)
Experience with Machine Translation engine training, workflows, and quality evaluation
Ability to work independently in a global team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience building automated translation solutions within out-of-the-box CMS tools.
Experience with data analysis and Quicksight (or similar) dashboard creation and management.
Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
