The Net Zero Lead will own the development of our Net Zero strategy at Natura &Co. It’s a new and influential role that offers an opportunity to drive major change across our business.

Defining our approach to achieving our commitments to reduce the greenhouse gases across our value chain, this role will set strategy and objectives and will work in partnership with our business units to enable their delivery and track our progress against stretching and quantitative goals.

Key responsibilities :

  • Using deep technical expertise and knowledge of Carbon emissions, set Net Zero strategies in partnership with our business sustainability leads and collaborate with leaders in supply chain and R&D to identify opportunities for us to make change at pace.
  • Deploying extensive analytical skills and industry knowledge, determine the criteria for the selection of carbon reduction projects and support the development of their implementation plans in business units.
  • Establishing an internal community that comes together to identify and share best practice regarding carbon reduction initiatives and external organisations and bodies best placed to support us with delivering these goal.
  • Creating great networks and establishing ways of working, delivery plans and integration agendas that leverage all the capability, resources and energy that exist within our business units.
  • Developing carbon modelling tools to support our investments in supply chain and R&D and more broadly ensuring alignment across our group in carbon emission tracking and reporting.
  • Using great project management capability, governance and influencing skills to consistently manage our shared agenda towards clear deliverables.
  • Creating a central hub of expertise and technical knowledge that advises on greenhouse gases inventory
  • Lead and facilitate annual group wide data collection and analysis on the reduction of greenhouse gases, specifically owning data contributions for our annual report and external questionaries .
  • Own Group reporting for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

    We'd love you to have :

  • Deep expertise and knowledge of carbon measurement and greenhouse gas protocol, with an understanding of how to make a tangible positive impact in an international business environment
  • Proven analytical capability including the ability to gather, analyse and report on carbon data. You’ll have advanced Excel skills and be able to make sense of complex data sets and communicate the insights concisely.
  • You’ll have expert programme management.. This will be a real strong suit in the successful candidate. We will want to hear more about net zero projects you have led where there was real scale and an international dynamic too with implications for the supply chain and future product innovation
  • Strategic leadership skills. We are looking for someone who can set the vision as part of the Sustainability team and outline a path we can follow to get there
  • Proven influencing skills you will be a great relationship builder gain satisfaction from working with diverse teams you will use this capability to get buy-in for our sustainability vision and agenda
  • Adaptable and nimble. You will be excited rather than deterred by the fact we still haven’t got all the answers. You may have worked in an entrepreneurial or early-stage consumer products business previously, or perhaps you bring experience of a division of a larger organisation where you were contributed to the build or transformation of systems, engagement and ways of working
  • Flexible and empathetic style. In this role you will be working with a wide variety of colleagues, systems and processes.
  • You will have experience in working in a complex business, probably of scale and certainly with an international footprint
