Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, is looking for a Visual Journalist with core skills in Photography and ability to shoot Video to work in both mediums in Venezuela.
We are looking for a highly skilled visual journalist with a long track record of excellent news photography and journalism skills.
She or he will be a team player and a self-starter with plenty of initiative to generate story ideas and inject a creative approach to storytelling.
She or he will have a good understanding of the news agenda in Venezuela - from politics to sport to entertainment, culture and lifestyle and business news.
The successful candidate will be working in a combined Pictures and Video team to produce a daily file of high-quality pictures and videos from Venezuela, ensuring fairness, accuracy and speed of delivery to our clients.
She or he will also be expected to plan, propose, and produce picture stories of the highest quality, to offer clients and readers the stories behind the news.
The successful candidate must have a global perspective to go with their intimate knowledge of the stories in Venezuela.
She or he needs to be flexible enough to deal with a fast-moving business which can involve unsociable hours and the need to travel at short notice.
