Principle Purpose of the position :

anaging and marketing the GSG Client Segment within the Country’s CIB group

Main objective is to successfully lead the GSG country business strategy aligned to Global, Regional and Local GSG Priorities to promote revenue and wallet share growth at Subsidiaries level within a risk controlled and strong work ethics environment

Maintain revenue contribution relevance in the country and region of this client segment

The role requires to foster innovation and tap the network to generate best-in-class ideas for our multinationals factoring-

in the overall macroeconomic environment

The job requires to orchestrate and leverage our global network liaising with PAMs, RAMs, Peers, Client Desks, Product Partners and Support Areas to deliver content and the best replicable solutions to subsidiaries in the country

The position requires to be the top representative of the GSG organization in the country and manage the GSG Cluster

The role requires the ability to think strategically to position Citi as our Multinational’s first call in the country

Key Responsibilities :

Responsible for managing the GSG Cluster / team in country

Develop and coordinate the execution of the GSG country business plan and strategy aligned with global, regional and local CIB-

GSG priorities, with the goal of promoting revenue, drivers’ (Assets, Liabilities, FX volumes, Fees) growth and client satisfaction, while maintaining a high adherence to work ethics, all internal policies and processes.

Agree the trend and direction to be given to each product within the GSG space, assigning priorities and developing communication campaigns, making sure those guidelines are shared and tracked

Maintain highest standards of risk, control and compliance, ensuring the client portfolio is in line with the expectation of Citi’s AML, KYC and Risk Management policies within the team

Enable connectivity between the country team and partners with the GSG network to maximize deal origination and replicability around network solutions

Liaise with GSG peers, PAMs, RAMs, Product (TTS, Markets, CMO, etc), Client Desks, Support Partners (Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc), In-

Country SAMs to execute the business strategy and ensure consistent service to our GSG clients

Become the designated Country senior calling officer for selected top multinational clients who are intensive users of our global network

Manage client’s expectations and effectively engage in difficult discussions with clients

Engage in strategic dialogue with the client’s local / regional senior management, opening access to the highest levels of their organization by leveraging on PAMs, RAMs and Regional Head

Benchmark with the local competition’s capabilities to facilitate critical input to win transactions

Manage the GSG client segment and performance in the country :

Knowledge / Experience :

Demonstrate in-depth and broad product expertise. Understand Flow drivers and how to originate multiproduct opportunities.

Preferable if expertise in more complex products : Capital Markets, Fixed Income and Derivatives, Export Agency Financing, and other Structured Financings

Significant management work experience within banking or financial services organization

Strong, proven financial and business acumen

Credit / risk demonstrated experience, able to sustain a proposal in front of the highest levels of the organization. Balanced risk taker

Proven knowledge of industry sector, local financial markets, the Banking industry and its regulations

Knowledge of accounting, legal and compliance principles and procedures relating to the role

Skills :

Ability to efficiently manage teams, build a strong talent pipeline and communicate effectively across different cultures

Ability to give constructive feedback and manage conflict effectively

Ability to work within a matrix organisation and partner effectively with product partners and Banking colleagues

Ability to make decisions with a clear focus on all potential consequences

Flexibility and adaptability

Strong communication / presentation skills (both written & oral)

Analytical skills : quickly assimilating new information, differentiating which facts are relevant and which are not, and taking responsibility for decisions taken
